What is LEDin?

It is the integration of Led lighting in solar Light tubes, allowing efficient lighting 24 hours a day. During daylight and sunny periods the illumination of the space comes from the sun. As night approaches or the day gets darker, Chatron’s “Light Controller” console introduces power to the LEDs to keep the desired and selected Lux ​​level constant for that location.

Maximizing use of natural light + optimizing efficiency in LED lighting

During the day, SUN PIPE – SUN TUNNEL -SOLAR LIGHT TUBE transport the natural light into the interior of spaces, keeping the environment with the quality that only Chatron Solar Light Tube can accomplish. To achieve light during night periods or during cloudy periods, LED-IN Chatron system allows for each Solar Light tube model to light spaces with the adequate power.

​​Why is LEDin way ahead of the competition?

  • The Led-In system was developed from scratch by Chatron in order to be the most robust and have the maximum efficiency for the use we are giving you.
  • System 1 uses light probes that will allow the best regulation of all light points, minimizing the electrical consumption of the installation.
  • For System 2: With the optimized configuration, we developed an MPCB (Metal Print Circuit Board) circuit with a built-in heatsink and with a customized configuration, for later connection to the Solar Light Tube.
  • The MPCB is later coupled to the solar Light tube ring, optimizing thermal transfer and maximizing optical power.
  •  MPCBs are equipped with SMD connectors allowing flexibility in their future handling.
  • All leds are powered by current drives.

​Minimization of light scattering to the outside

​Although the leds are inside the solar Light tube, the reflection to the outside is very low (less than 5%) due to the fact that the MPCBs have been designed for an optimal orientation of the Osram Leds used, so that all the optical power is directed to the diffuser, making no reflections in the mirror of the solar Light tube.
In this way, a uniform flow of light is also achieved.
